Jen Angulo Salguero (b. 1979) is a Latina artist and native New Yorker whose practice spans textiles, acrylic paint, and ink on felt, paper, and wood. Her work is shaped by her upbringing in Rockaway Beach, the influence of magical realism, and an ongoing engagement with the histories of U.S. intervention in Latin America. Through layered materials and narrative fragmentation, she explores the slippage between memory and mythology, often threaded with the dark humor she considers her primary familial inheritance.
